Construction underway for new additions to Austintown playground
Construction is now underway for some new additions to the playground at Austintown Township Park. Park Supervisor Todd Shaffer tells 21 News there will be plenty of new additions including a wheelchair-accessible swing, a zip line, a climbing dome, a sensory board and another climbing apparatus with a sliding board.
Bel-Air shines in Mother's Day show in Alliance
Rhythm & Blues band Bel-Air brought smiles to moms faces Saturday night at the Firehouse Theater in Alliance when the group performed a free concert in celebration of Mother's Day. About 160 people attended the event, which featured performers Walter Johnson and Dazzle Hawkins of Alliance and Cornelius Parson Sr. and Waymon Griffin III of Akron. Pastor Joyce Williams of Feed My Sheep Ministries/New Beginnings House of God kicked off the event with a prayer.
