Chaps Pit Beef, with three locations across Maryland, has been named home to one of the 20 Best Sandwiches in America by The Infatuation. The Infatuation, a restaurant review and dining guide owned by JPMorgan Chase, included Chaps’ signature pit beef sandwich on its national list of 20 standouts from across the country. “You’ve probably heard of Baltimore’s penchant for crabcakes and softshell crab, but real ones know the best sandwich in town is the pit beef from Chaps,” The Infatuation wrote.

Schools are inspected twice per year, according to the Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratories. Whether an establishment is considered compliant or noncompliant is at the discretion of the inspector. There are, however, several violations for which inspectors should automatically consider establishments noncompliant. Called "critical violations," they include food temperature issues, employee hygiene and issues with chemicals and how they're handled.
