Arrest in fatal February shooting
A 27-year old man has been extradited back to Delaware to face murder charges in connection with a fatal shooting in Wilmington in February. Nazier Johnson was arrested around 7 a.m. on March 7, 2024, when police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 900 block of McDowell Avenue in Chester, Pennsylvania.
Man arrested for assault, attempted robbery at Newark-area restaurant
A man is behind bars in connection with an attempted robbery and stabbing at the IHOP Restaurant on Kirkwood Highway near Newark. Delaware State Police said a man wearing a mask and holding a knife came into the restaurant Saturday night and demanded money. An employee refused to give him any money, and the suspect left. However, according to police, 35-year-old Andrew Ford of Bear threatened two customers who had just left the restaurant and cut one of them on the hand with the knife as they tried to subdue him.
