It's an annual sign of spring in Maine: Fat Boy Drive-In is getting ready to open in Brunswick. Fat Boy is set to open on May 4. They say they will only be open on weekends at the start of the season from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., eventually opening six days a week.
MSAD 75 introduces free service to prevent violence in schools
The local school district plans to roll out a new option for students and others to anonymously report potential threats at school before they escalate into violence. Maine School Administrative District 75 Superintendent of Schools Heidi O’Leary told the school board at its meeting on Thursday, April 25, that the district will introduce the service, known as the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System, to students, faculty and staff with a series of informational meetings and training sessions.

A man being held at Two Bridges Regional Jail has hung himself, in the third suicide since Sagadahoc and Lincoln counties opened the facility on Wiscasset’s Route One in 2006, authorities told Wiscasset Newspaper.
