It’s a star-studded recruiting weekend in Athens as Georgia hosts a plethora of blue-chip prospects. Multiple five-stars are in attendance, as are plenty of impressive four-stars.

That list includes Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Rockvale four-star safety Jaylan Morgan. The 6-foot, 175-pounder added an offer from the Bulldogs last month and is now making his way to campus as Kirby Smart and Co. look to make a move.

Georgia is Morgan’s most recent documented offer. The defensive back has continued to work through his recruitment and currently has official visits lined up to Florida (May 31), Mississippi State (June 14) and Purdue (June 21). Around 18 Power Four programs have offered Morgan in total.

Despite being a recent offer, Georgia is already in the thick of things in his recruitment.

“My recruitment has been going good. I’m finally starting to narrow it down to a couple schools. I am hearing from Florida, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Georgia, and Purdue,” Morgan told DawgsHQ in April. “I am scheduling my official visits right now and looking to commit at the end of June or early July.”

Defensive backs coach Donte Williams and co-defensive coordinator Travaris Robinson are leading UGA’s charge for Morgan. He’ll have an opportunity to continue building those relationships this weekend.

“Both of them are very genuine people who care about their athletes,” Morgan said. “They also produce great talent. They like my ability to track the ball down and my physicality.”

Morgan is the No. 226 overall prospect and No. 21 safety in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 4 player in Tennessee.

    Georgia Class Breakdown

The Bulldogs have nine commitments early on in the cycle and sit at No. 8 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Of Georgia’s pledges, six project to the offensive side of the ball and three are expected to play defense at the next level. After seeing five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry of Manchester (Ga.) flip to USC, four-star tight end Elyiss Williams is the only UGA commit to rank in the top-100 in the country. Five of the eight commitments hail from the Peach State, with an average distance from Athens of just 245.8 miles.

The latest additions to the class for Georgia include: four-star offensive lineman Mason Short, a one-time Alabama commit who reopened his recruitment when Nick Saban retired; four-star quarterback Ryan Montgomery; four-star New Jersey-based EDGE Darren Ikinnagbon; and four-star wide receiver/athlete Thomas Blackshear.
