In a recent segment on The Rashad Richey Morning Show , welcomed the founder of New Order National Human Rights Organization , Gerald Rose and Glenda Barnett, the grandmother of a victim to discuss a troubling incident that occurred at W.R. Coile Middle School in Athens, GA. The incident involved a middle school teacher accused of choking a student, with exclusive video footage capturing the altercation. Listeners were provided with an update on the case and the efforts being made to seek justice for the student.

The interview commenced with a poignant recap of the news clip, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. Mr. Barnett vividly recounted the harrowing experience when the teacher's grasp constricted around his neck, leaving him gasping for breath. Subsequently, the district verified that comprehensive investigations were in progress, involving both the school administration and the local law enforcement agency.

Mr. Rose and Ms. Barnett expressed their disappointment that the teacher, initially charged with aggravated assault, had the charges dropped after the case went to the district attorney or grand jury. Mr. Rose emphasized the lack of accountability for the teacher and the detrimental impact on the student, who was expelled from school for six months.

Ms. Barnett shared the positive news that her grandchild would be allowed to return to school after a meeting with the superintendent, though concerns remained about the lack of consequences for the teacher.

As the discussion unfolded, Mr. Rose and Ms. Barnett raised questions about the handling of the case and the reasons behind the dropped charges against the teacher. Plans were made to continue putting pressure on the authorities to ensure that justice is served and legal action may be pursued against the school system.

The Rashad Richey Morning Show pledged to support the ongoing efforts to secure justice for the student and hold those responsible for the assault accountable.
