PIKESVILLE, Md. — UPDATE (1 a.m.)-- Ariana has been located, according to Baltimore County police. ORIGINAL STORY (March 27, 12:49 a.m.) -- An Amber Alert was issued in Maryland for Ariana Lockett, a 7-year-old girl last seen in Pikesville, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Police officers in Montgomery Co. are investigating a shooting that left a man dead. Officers responded to the 2000 block of Treetop Lane in Silver Spring minutes before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. When police arrived they found a man suffering from trauma to the upper body. Despite trying to provide life-saving efforts, the victim was later pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.

Montgomery County Police responded to a shooting that occurred on Sunday, March 26, 2023, on Treetop Lane in Silver Spring. According to MCPD, “At approximately 7:20 p.m., Montgomery County Police responded to an apartment building located at 2001 Treetop Lane for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with trauma to the body. Officers provided life saving measures to the victim who was then pronounced dead at the scene.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on Saturday hours after police say he shot and killed someone in a Fairfax, Virginia, apartment and ran from the scene. Fairfax County police said Darren Cruz Colindres, of Vienna, was at a second-level apartment in the 10400 block of Viera Lane with “known associate” Javier Gomez, 20, on Friday night leading into Saturday morning.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a two-car collision on Frederick Rd and Plummer Drive in Germantown at approximately 8pm on Sunday night. According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, crash debris was spread out approximately 150 yards following the crash. The fuel tank of one of the vehicles ruptured, but the gas was contained with absorbent with some lanes temporarily blocked. Three people were transported to the hospital, all with non life-threatening injuries.
