ARLINGTON, TX (1080 KRLD) -- The drunk driver convicted of killing a man in Arlington nearly two years ago has been sentenced to a decade behind bars.

In June of 2022, Arlington police accused Bryan Liazarzaburo-Penafiel of being drunk -- at ten in the morning -- when he ran a red light and slammed into a car driven by Keymon Jones who, according to his family, was on his way to pick up his mom for church.

At the sentencing, Angell Jones told Lizarzaburo-Penafiel "...I will never forgive you." At the time of the crash, he was out on bond for another matter and was under orders to wear an ankle monitor.
