One of the most prestigious offensive lines in the nation adds another potential star to its rotation as the Michigan Wolverines received a hard commitment Friday from 2025 four-star interior offensive line recruit Avery Gach .

The 6-foot-5, 290 lb. native of Franklin, Michigan, is ranked as the No. 2 player in the state, the No. 16 IOL in the country, and the No. 240 overall player in the 2025 college football recruiting class according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

"Michigan gets a commitment from 4-star OL Avery Gach. He said he knew Sherrone Moore the best of any head coach. He will enroll mid-year and spoke further about position(s) he could play and how he’s dreamed about playing in a Michigan-Ohio State game," 247 Sports' Allen Trieu wrote on X.

The Wolverines received eight Crystal Ball predictions to land Gach’s commitment which included some from writers covering the Wolverines’ biggest rivals. In addition, On3 gave the Wolverines a 94.4 percent chance of earning Gach’s commitment.

The Wolverines fended off the rival Ohio State Buckeyes, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Michigan State Spartans, and Wisconsin Badgers during the recruiting process to keep one of their top in-state targets close to home. With this commitment, the Wolverines’ offensive line should continue to remain a key contributor to their offensive’s success under first-year head coach Sherrone Moore.
