This Idaho Bakery Has Baked Giant Frosted Cinnamon Rolls From The Same Recipe For More Than 40 Years
The original cinnamon roll at this Idaho bakery stretches about six inches across. It’s less of a pastry and more of a commitment. The founder opened the bakery in 1984, and the recipe has outlasted mullets, shoulder pads, and a few owners. The shop has changed hands, but that roll clearly isn’t going anywhere.

Originally from Chicago, he found it easy to draw inspiration for the food he wanted to serve. The name of his food stall also nods to his childhood, when he recalled stories of his mother being a neighbor of Al Capone’s mom. He said he became infatuated with the stories of the Chicago mob; his wif...

Five days of razor clam digs begin Saturday
Five days of razor clam digs begin Saturday at Copalis and Mocrocks beaches. “Marine toxins continue to linger above the closure level for Long Beach and Twin Harbors, but thankfully the northern beaches of Copalis and Mocrocks remain low enough for harvest,” state Department of Fish and Wildlife coastal shellfish biologist Bryce Blumenthal said in a news release. “The first set of digs proved to be a challenge for those who made it out, and an increased swell forecast with less deep low tides will make digging even more difficult during this upcoming tide series.”
