Man Charged for Rape and Incest while Woman Charged with Cruelty to Children

Richard Terrance Eady was arrested for rape and incest on April 12. Ashley Marie Cromer-Eady was arrested for cruelty to children and deprivation of necessary sustenance in the 1st degree the same day. The case was brought to the attention of authorities by the teenage victim. Richard Terrance Eady is the victim’s stepfather. Ashley Marie Cromer-Eady is the victim’s mother, who has been charged with cruelty due to knowledge of the crime without reporting it. Richard Eady is currently in jail awaiting arraignment before a superior court judge. Sheriff Eric Bryant stated that they will be working to provide the victim with any counseling the victim may require.
