Shoplifting duo caught at McKay’s; female suspect arrested on parole warrant
At 1:02 pm on May 18th, 2024, a theft involving two suspects with a large bag was reported at McKay’s in Lakeside. Deputy M.R. Smith responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. Upon his arrival, Deputy Smith found the suspects inside the store. Security confronted them as they attempted to leave. The suspects, identified as Joseph Perry, 40, and Celeste Pike, 45, were found with the stolen items in their possession, which were promptly returned to McKay’s. Both individuals received criminal citations for Theft in the Third Degree and Conspiracy to Commit a C Misdemeanor. Additionally, Ms. Pike was discovered to have an outstanding warrant from the State Parole Board. She was arrested and taken to the Coos County Jail to be booked, processed, and lodged.
