On 4/18/24, Agents with the 28th District out of Trenton went to a home on Hamilton Street to speak with the subject of an investigation. Upon contacting the suspect, he started cursing at and ordering Agents to leave. As Agents were only there to question the suspect, they began leaving. The suspect then shouted he would “kill the Agents” as they were entering their vehicles. The suspect then retreated into the home before returning with a Sig Sauer semi-automatic pistol and appearing to inject a round into the chamber as Agents were pulling away in their vehicles. Agents then stopped and took defensive positions ordering the suspect to surrender. The suspect retreated into his home where a standoff ensued. Trenton TN Police Department responded to assist as Agents gave commands for the suspect to surrender. Inside the home, the suspect called Trenton Police Dept. saying that he didn’t have any guns. Trenton dispatchers then assisted Agents in having the suspect surrender to authorities without further incident after an approximate 15 minute standoff. Agents and Officers cleared the residence for other threats before receiving a search warrant to further search the residence for evidence. Agents seized a loaded Sig Sauer .45 handgun, a .22 rifle, extra ammo, a flak jacket, gas mask, drug paraphernalia and a nylon shoulder holster from inside the home.
