Among the top 1,000, there are 13 counties in West Tennessee; 6 of which are in the top 500, and 1 placing in the top 30. This study determined which counties faced the largest risk of destruction. The most at risk county in West Tennessee and across the entire state was Shelby County, which ranked 39th in the United States–with an expected annual loss from tornadoes of $61 million.

Ford BlueOval City To Benefit From USDA Funding Projects
Construction at the future Ford BlueOval City site in Tennessee officially began back in September 2022, and it’s already having a positive impact on the surrounding community, at least in terms of the number of jobs it’s set to add – not to mention a major infusion of infrastructure and other, unrelated investments. Production of an all-new, next-generation EV pickup dubbed “Project T3” is set to kick off at Ford BlueOval City in 2025, but in the meantime, FoMoCo is busy collecting funding for the massive new site, a large portion of which stems from a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) loan. Now, Ford BlueOval City is set to benefit from some additional funding projects, according to the Nashville Post.
