In late 2023, Wright County Public Health began a new program aimed at connecting healthcare professionals and youth experiencing asthma or related symptoms. Between home visits, school engagement, and clinic partnerships, the Asthma Program offers ways to reduce asthma triggers and prevent symptoms. Pennies and pies in Watertown
Every year Watertown-Mayer Middle School Student Council rallies students to “penny up”. Throughout the month of March, each grade brings in change, checks, and paper currency to compete with one another in friendly competition called “Penny Wars” all for the cause of raising awareness and money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This year, students could also donate money to place their name in a bucket to “pie” a staff member in the face! One student was chosen from each grade and they got to choose their target. Students smashed their goal and raised just under $5,000!! The grand finale was the opportunity to have your name drawn to pie the principal, Mr. Guertin!

Downtown construction season begins in Waconia
Construction of Waconia’s latest major downtown project is anticipated to begin this week.
