RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - A Biggers teen is dead after a weekend crash. Arkansas State Police said the crash happened Saturday, April 27, at 12:31 p.m. on U.S. Highway 67 at Spinwebber Curve. Paragould clubhouse loses decades of memories in fire
PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) - A Paragould golf course is picking up the pieces after losing its clubhouse to a fire. Paragould police say 18-year-old Davin Jones drove into the Fox Hills Country Club’s clubhouse while intoxicated. They said Jones ran off Country Club Road and destroyed a leaderboard sign before plowing into the clubhouse, where his vehicle caught fire.
MoDOT ends Adopt a Highway program
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) - MoDOT has ended a 35-year-old program and is replacing it with a new one--but many families are upset about the removal. Since 1987, Adopt a Highway has allowed people to sponsor highways in the Show Me State, but soon families will say goodbye to signs that have been placed along the highways in memory of their loved ones.
April’s Teacher of the Month brightens day of everyone around her
CORNING, Ark. (KAIT) - Our K8 News Teacher of the Month is full of smiles, putting effort into making her students and co-workers feel loved and supported. Park Elementary School’s first-grade teacher, Mrs. Hannah Harrison, was named the K8 News Teacher of the Month. During the announcement, her entire first-grade class serenaded her with chants.
Police: Man arrested after confrontation with biker group
PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) - Paragould police arrested a man late Saturday evening after they say he was confronted by a group known as Bikers Against Predators. Captain Jason Elms confirmed to K8 News that 36-year-old Nathen Perkins is being held in the Greene County Jail and faces charges of possession or use of child sexual abuse material and internet stalking of a child.

Two people injured in Butler County crash
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) - Two people were injured in a vehicle crash in Butler County Friday night. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Reports, the crash took place around 8:10 p.m. on Friday, April 26. The collision was on MO AA at MO T, four miles east of Poplar Bluff.
