Traffic Stop Leads To Drug And Warrants Arrest
On November 24th, 2023, a Clay County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Pine Street in Rector. When the deputy made contact with the driver, he noticed what appeared to be drug paraphernalia in the seat with the driver. The deputy had the driver exit the vehicle and he retrieved a pipe. Upon running a check on the female subject, it was learned she had a warrant for Misdemeanor Failure to Appear out of Clay County. The Deputy and Rector Officers conducted a search of the vehicle where other illegal items were found.
