We start a warm-up today under sunny skies. I’m going with highs in the mid-60s. We are back in the 70s tomorrow and close to 80° on Easter. Our next real chance of rain doesn’t arrive until Monday afternoon. Pretty soon we will start fine-tuning the eclipse forecast for April 8th.
Superintendent apologizes after Doniphan middle schooler left locked on school bus for hours
DONIPHAN, Mo. (KFVS) - The superintendent of a southeast Missouri school district is apologizing after an incident left a student trapped on a bus for four hours. It happened Monday morning, March 25 in Doniphan. A middle schooler fell asleep on the bus ride to school, but when the driver let out the kids and locked up the bus they didn’t notice him and left him inside.
Loud ‘explosion’ sound baffles area residents
That was a persistent question on Wednesday after multiple reports of a loud boom or explosion being heard (and felt) throughout the region. The staff at the White River Now office, located near the St. Louis and Harrison intersection in Batesville, did not feel or hear any noticeable noise, but an employee off-site did, noting he ran out of the building he was in after hearing the boom.
Great American Eclipse: West Plains, Mo., community ready for rush of tourists
WEST PLAINS, Mo. (KY3) - The Great American Eclipse will go over the Ozarks on April 8. The path of totality will go straight through the Buffalo National River, West Plains, Mountain Home, and Poplar Bluff. National Weather Service warns of blowing dust, hazardous driving conditions for larger vehicles
(KFVS) - Due to high winds Monday, the National Weather Service is warning people of blowing dust and dangerous driving conditions for large vehicles. A wind advisory is in effect through 5 a.m. on Tuesday. A high wind warning goes into effect at 2 p.m. for the Bootheel and Lake County, Tennessee until 1 a.m. on Tuesday.

PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) - A Missouri man faces felony charges after Paragould police said he tried to hit someone with his vehicle and struck another. Greene County District Court Judge Daniel Stidham found probable cause Saturday, March 23, to charge 20-year-old Christopher Ramsdill of Arbyrd with a crash involving death or personal injuries and two counts of aggravated assault.
