Brian “Eddie” Sides of Branson, Missouri, is now facing multiple lawsuits and criminal charges following his abandonment of Whispering Oaks Luxury RV Park in Baxter County. Sides purchased the RV property alongside Duane and Stephanie Smith, a Twin Lakes couple who allege that Sides pitched them on the creation of the RV Park as a retirement investment.
Marion County authorities rule cause of death of woman’s body found near boat launch ramp
MARION COUNTY, Ark. (KY3) - Marion County authorities say a woman’s death at a boat launch ramp was accidental. Residents in the area found the body of Sharon Rose Harris, 80, of Rowlett, Texas, floating in Bull Shoals Lake on April 11. The Arkansas State Crime Lab conducted an autopsy.

The Mountain Home Education Foundation announced the winners of this year’s Mr. and Miss Mountain Home High School scholarship. Both Haylee Silzell and Cade Yates came ahead as the big winners and will receive $1,000 each from the foundation. Arkansas Wildlife Weekly Fishing Report
An angler from Columbia, Missouri, named Stan (no last name provided) landed this nice 24-inch brown trout on the White River near Calico Rock, fishing out of Jenkins Fishing Service and Motel. Conditions have been near perfect on the river, according to Dave McCulley, who runs the resort. Anglers have been catching numerous brown trout of 18 inches or more in length, including one that was 26 inches, and rainbows are also biting nicely.
ARDOT: Full closure of Highway 178 scheduled across Bull Shoals Dam
Drivers in the Mountain Home region are urged to use caution this week as Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam will be closed from Tuesday through Thursday. According to a release from ARDOT, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has scheduled a full road closure of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, through 5 p.m. Thursday, April 25, to deploy and remove equipment used to perform maintenance on the dam.
