Baxter County sees fewer than 1,000 ballots cast in first week of early voting
The latest numbers are in, and it’s not looking good for Baxter County this election season. Only 57 voters cast their ballots on Saturday, bringing a surprisingly weak close to the first week of early voting in this year’s primary season. A total of 964 voters have cast their ballots since early voting opened at First United Methodist Church last Tuesday.

During Thursday evening's city council meeting, the mayor began his State of the City address by mentioning the new city hall building. A female juvenile reported missing in Salesville has been located. Eleven-year-old was Elise Herbert was found safe early Monday evening. Herbert was originally reported missing Monday morning from a location on Cedar Drive.
