Tornado Watch For Portions of Southwest Iowa
(Des Moines) The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Watch for Adams, Taylor, Ringgold, Union, and central Iowa Counties along and south of Interstate 80. Strong to severe storms are possible from late afternoon through this evening. All severe weather hazards are possible, but hail and damaging winds are the primary threats.
NOAA Reports EF2 Tornadoes in Union County
(Des Moines) The National Weather Service in Des Moines rates the Tornadoes that struck Union and Madison Counties on Friday, April 26, an EF2. According to the Weather Service, from 6:52 p.m. to 7:08 p.m., an EF2 tornado blazed a path of damage from Creston northeast for 6.82 miles. The 350-yard-wide Twister carried wind speeds of 125 miles per hour.
Creston drug bust nets two arrests
(Creston) -- Two suspects are in custody on a bevy of drug-related charges in Creston. Creston Police say 48-year-old Timothy Linn Williams and 44-year-old Brenda Ellen Williams, both of Creston, were arrested Monday on Union County warrants at 816 North Sycamore. Timothy Williams is charged with maintaining a drug house or vehicle, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia, intent to deliver marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance--1st offense. Brenda is charged with keeping premises or vehicle for controlled substances, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana--2nd offense.
Union County Woman Arrested For FTA
(Creston) Creston Police arrested 47-year-old Karina Lynn Wilkinson of Creston on Tuesday for two counts of Failure to Appear. Police Transported Wilkinson to the Clarke County Jail, where she is held on no bond and must serve the remainder of an ordered jail sentence.

Suspects charged in Creston domestic incident
(Creston) -- Two suspects face charges following an altercation in Creston over the weekend. Creston Police say 60-year-old Kevin Lee Campbell of Kellerton and 41-year-old Lucinda Denenne Jones were arrested late Sunday afternoon for domestic abuse assault. The arrests were connected to an incident at 118 Manor Drive shortly after 5:30 p.m.
