Montgomery County Man arrested on Theft Charges
(Red Oak) Red Oak Police arrested 28-year-old Dylan Elwood Taylor of Red Oak this morning in the 2000 block of Commerce Drive for a valid Montgomery County Warrant for 2nd-degree theft, a Class D Felony. (Council Bluffs) -- Power is still out for KMAland residents impacted by Friday's tornadoes and severe storms. Crews worked over the weekend to tackle damage to electrical systems suffered by tornadic activity in parts of Pottwattamie County. As of 2 p.m. Sunday, more than 200 customers remained without power in Minden, one of the communities hardest hit by an EF-2 tornado that roared through the county.

'Night of a Thousand Stars' shines in Shenandoah
(Shenandoah) -- Even on a cloudy night, the stars came out in Shenandoah Saturday night. Performers from all over KMAland gathered for "The Night of a Thousand Stars," a fundraiser for the Essex East Gym project. A overflow crowd packed the Elm Street Grill to enjoy a full night of entertainment--complete with a three-course meal. Mace Hensen and Fremont-Mills freshman Asa Reyes emceed the event. Hensen and a committee of Belinda and Blair DeBolt and Ciara Schierkolk recruited the cavalcade of talent. Hensen tells KMA News the show went on amidst threatening watcher conditions.
Fugitive From Florida Arrested in Montgomery County
(Red Oak) A man wanted in Florida for deadly assault is arrested in Montgomery County. According to the press release, Montgomery County Deputies arrested 29-year-old Brady Cullen Mutschler of Poinciana, Florida, on Wednesday on three felony warrants. Officers transported Mutschler to the Montgomery County Jail for extradition to Florida to face charges of Domestic Violence, Aggravated Assault, Deadly Intent, False Imprisonment, and Domestic Violence Battery by Strangulation.
Glenwood officials hold line on city's fiscal 2025
(Glenwood) -- Glenwood officials say it took a team effort to tackle the city's budget demands for next fiscal year. Earlier this week, the Glenwood City Council approved the city's fiscal 2025 budget, with a property tax levy of approximately $14.58 per thousand dollars valuation. Though the fiscal '25 levy is down from the current fiscal year's levy of about $15.60 per thousand, Glenwood City Administrator Amber Farnan tells KMA News next fiscal year's budget is actually $987 more than last year.

Red Oak Man in custody on Felony Drug Charges
(Red Oak) Red Oak Police arrested a man on Tuesday with multiple Police Department warrants in connection with felony drug charges. Police arrested 28-year-old Nikolus Brenton Schooling at the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Center for Felony Drug Trafficking Methamphetamine, Intent to Manufacture/Deliver a Schedule 1 Narcotic, Controlled Substance Violation, and Drug Stamp Violations. Severe weather weekend still expected in KMAland
