A young child died in a traffic collision in northern Fontana on April 30, according to the Fontana Police Department. Shortly after 4 p.m., officers were called to the scene of a collision at the intersection of Baseline and Almeria avenues. Upon arrival, they found that a red Nissan Altima, which was making a left turn to head south on Almeria, had been struck by a white Honda Accord traveling east on Baseline, said Public Information Officer Daniel Romero.

Ontario police have arrested four suspects for allegedly attempting a follow-home robbery from a local bank, authorities announced Saturday. On April 25 two victims of the alleged crime were at a bank in the 11000 block of E. Fourth Street in Rancho Cucamonga, according to the Ontario Police Department. As they made a cash withdrawal, one of the victims noticed a suspect standing in line at the bank, later identified as Los Angeles County resident Dilan Cansino, who was watching them intently.
