Motorists report issues with Memorial Bridge payments
PARKERSBURG — People are still having issues with how tolls are being processed for the Memorial Bridge. Since reopening at the end of August, the bridge has operated with an all-electronic tolling system. The charge is $1 for a trip across for a standard passenger vehicle equipped with an MOV Pass transponder or compatible system like EZ Pass. It goes up to $4.50 if a vehicle without a transponder crosses, as the license plate is scanned and an invoice is generated and mailed to the vehicle’s owner.

Unsettled weather for the first half of the week
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Our weather will be unsettled through the first half of the week as we track the chance of thunderstorms today and continuing through Thursday. Chance for storms as cold front moves in
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Storms are starting to bubble up as the summer like conditions continue and a weak cold front approaches. There is a marginal (1/5) risk for severe weather with these storms with damaging winds with gusts up to 60 mph being the only threat currently expected. We could see some lingering showers and storms until about midnight when the cold front will move through. This will lead to a dry start to our day but a system to our south will bring back the chance for rain and scattered thunderstorms as we move into the afternoon. At this time severe weather is not expected with the storms tomorrow. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s though it will feel a little sticky as the new system starts to move in.
