Public invited to Brat Feed and Book Sale at Almena
The Barron Area Montessori School invites the public to a Brat Feed and Book Sale on Thursday from 5-7:30 p.m., rain or shine, hosted by the Almena Citizens for Education. A brat plate is served for $7, and a hot dog plate for $6, both of which include chips, beans, dessert and drink. The brats were donated by Almena Meat Company, and the hot dogs by Nilssen's Foods. The event also includes games and prizes, a dunk tank, cotton candy, silent auction and a sale of gently-used books.

The Rice Lake boys track and field team was runner-up, with the girls in third for their respective standings, as the Warriors hosted the Rice Lake Invitational on Thursday.
