Man sentenced in attempted homicide case
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - A Bloomer man was sentenced today for stabbing his neighbor in December 2021 in the Town of Wilson. Court documents show that on April 25, 61-year-old Adam Langiewicz was sentenced to nine years in prison, followed by five years of extended supervision, after being found guilty in February of the attempted homicide of his neighbor.
Jenni-O hatchery to lay off 38 employees
BARRON, Wis. (WEAU) - Hormel Foods notified the Department of Workforce Development that its Jennie-O hatchery in Barron will be laying off several employees this summer. Man allegedly caused injury to officer while being arrested
A Cumberland man is accused of causing an injury to an officer and attempting to harm an EMT worker during efforts to arrest him on a warrant and transport him to jail. Peter R. Cupp, 40, was charged with three felonies and two misdemeanors on Friday in Barron County Court.
