Springfield couple celebrates 80 years of marriage
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - A Springfield couple celebrated their 80th wedding anniversary a few days early. Harold and Bernice Raymer have been together since 1944 when they were both 17 years old. Now, 80 years later, the two were honored at a small get-together surrounded by their children, grandchildren, and friends, both old and new, at Graceway Baptist Church on Saturday.

The Dyrt, a camping platform that lists campgrounds, reviews and tips, released its Best Places to Camp Regional Awards this week. The platform divides winners into six regions of the country: Pacific, Mountain, Central, Midwest, Northeast and Southeast. SPD says man fatally shot himself during alleged robbery attempt at Springfield drugstore
A man turned a gun on himself as he was being approached by authorities responding to an alleged robbery at a drugstore on Wednesday, according to Springfield police. Police said that around 11 a.m. officers responded to a call at Lawrence Drug on Republic Road of a man who slipped a note to an employee demanding drugs. When officers went inside the store, SPD said the man pulled out a gun and took his own life.
