    PHOTOS: Severe weather rips roof off Zephyrhills mobile home, other damage reported

    ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa Bay area residents were left cleaning up debris and checking for storm damage after severe weather swept through the area on Tuesday.

    Pasco County Fire Rescue crews responded to the Sundance Mobile Home Park located on Eagles Nest Drive in Zephyrhills after strong winds and storms ripped the roof off a mobile home.

    WFLA viewer Billy Wilson shared several photos and videos of fire rescue crews removing the displaced roof. In one of the photos, a singular light pole appeared to be the only thing stopping the roof from flying away.

    Another photo from Zephyrhills shows fallen tree limbs and branches in a backyard. A trampoline was also lifted over a private fence, just inches away from landing on a red pickup truck.

    Other reports of storm damage

    New Port Richey

    Storm damage was also reported in downtown New Port Richey. In a photo submitted by Amber Kelly, what appears to be the roof of Zen Restaurant was lifted and folded over atop the building.

    Tampa

    WFLA viewer James Becknel submitted a photo of a large oak tree that fell about 4 feet from his home on East Miller Avenue in Tampa as storms rolled through.

    Clearwater

    The Clearwater Police Department reported power outages, traffic signals, and trees down at some intersections throughout the city. CPD is reminding drivers to treat intersections as four-way stops if the signals are out.

    “Drive safely out there, #Clearwater!” the department wrote on social media .
