YOUNGS TOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Police are looking for a suspect in a December 2022 shooting death at a South Side gas station.

A warrant charging Zachary Bair, 31, with murder was filed last week in municipal court.

Bair is wanted for the Dec. 22, 2022 shooting of Devin Bell, 26, who was shot and killed at a gas station at South and Samuel avenues.

A second man, Akeem Hargrove, 31, was arrested a few days after Bell was killed and charged with aggravated murder. He faces a Sept. 9 trial in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court before Judge Anthony D’Apolito.

Police said Bell was shot by two men wearing masks and was dead when officers arrived after receiving a 911 call for gunfire.

Police found a gun and knife in the area where witnesses said they saw two men dressed in black and wearing masks running on Samuel Avenue after the shooting.

Detective Sgt. Jerry Fulmer, the lead investigator on the case, said detectives were awaiting the results of DNA tests and tests on other evidence before charging Bair.

Bair is not in custody. Fulmer asked that anyone who has information on his whereabouts call detectives at 330-742-8911; the 911 Center; or 330-742-8950.
