News photographers remember the crowds and heat of the Idora Park fire
Two of the Mahoning Valley's preeminent news photographers, they have taken pictures of everything from presidential visits to multiple homicides and everything in between. Working as competitors April 26, 1984, the two also shot one of Youngstown's watershed moments -- the fire that was the death knell of Idora Park.
91-year-old robbed of thousands of dollars in Lawrence County
NEW BEAVER, Pa. (KDKA) - Police are investigating after a 91-year-old in Lawrence County was robbed of thousands of dollars.Police say they were called to State Route 18 in New Beaver Borough, where the victim's home was found ransacked.They say the suspects forced open a safe and stole $13,000 worth of jewelry.Anyone with information should call the Pennsylvania State Police in New Castle.
