YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A 67-year-old man is expected to be arraigned Friday on a second-degree felony count of felonious assault after a man was stabbed at an East Side apartment complex.

Man wanted for local homicide arrested in Georgia

Michael Cobb is currently in the Mahoning County jail. He was arrested after police were called about 9:50 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a stabbing at a Kendis Circle apartment.

When police arrived, they saw the victim “bleeding profusely” from a stab wound to the arm and he was going in and out of consciousness, reports said. Someone had applied a makeshift tourniquet, and police also gave the first man first aid until paramedics could take him to St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Reports said the victim told police before he went to the hospital that it was Cobb who stabbed him.

Police went to Cobb’s apartment and ordered him to come out. Reports said at first he refused but eventually came out and was taken into custody without incident.

Cobb told police that the victim hit him first with a speaker and he then stabbed the victim, reports said. Reports said Cobb also told police where the knife was and they were able to seize it.

A witness told police he saw Cobb making remarks to the victim’s wife and when the victim told him to stop, Cobb started swinging a knife before he was stabbed.

Reports also noted that police were called to the complex before on reports that Cobb’s dog was”being loud and aggressive,” with the most recent call being April 28.
