Andrea Springs, 20, was arraigned before Judge Carla Baldwin in municipal court on six counts of felonious assault.

Her sister, Lisa Springs, also 20, was arraigned on six counts of complicity to commit felonious assault. Her bond was also set at $300,000.

The two will have a preliminary hearing April 2.

Andrea Springs is accused of firing several shots at about 1:40 p.m. March 16 at a car in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Tyrell Avenue on the West Side. A woman in the car was hit several times and treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center for her wounds.

Police said there were five other people in the car, including four children.

Lisa Springs is accused of driving her sister to and from the crime.

The shooting stemmed from an argument over a man, police said.

City Prosecutor Kathy Thompson asked for a bond of $600,000 for both sisters because of the circumstances of the crime.

Thompson said police collected 10 shell casings at the crime scene.
