PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Good evening everyone and happy Friday. After more sunshine was seen across the region today, high pressure is weakening off to the west of New England. This will allow low pressure to advance eastward tomorrow, bringing unsettled weather to the forecast for the weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday likely feature some shower chances, with a better chance of activity Saturday evening into Saturday night. Sunday morning will be the best chance of showers the second half of the weekend, with drier weather looking more likely for the afternoon. High pressure gains control of the region heading into the new work week, meaning more sunshine and mild temperatures returning.

FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine (WAGM) - The Maine Potato Blossom Festival is underway in Fort Fairfield, but a stormy forecast forced organizers to make some tough calls. Weather alerts prompted the cancellation of two popular events. Organizers have changed the schedule of events for the Maine Potato Blossom Festival. Some of the events have been cancelled due to the expected storm. Organizers say the top priority is making sure everyone can enjoy the festival safely.

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Good evening everyone and happy Tuesday. We’ve seen another nice day across the region today with high pressure still in control of the region. The same can’t be said state-wide, with cloud cover building in downstate, as well as some lighter showers working through this afternoon. This activity remains south of us tonight, with a few fair weather clouds possible building into tomorrow morning. We’ve got another hot and sunny day in store for Wednesday with high pressure still in control of the region. Changes arrive late Wednesday night with a disturbance arriving. This will bring us our next chance at showers and thunderstorms before the end of the work week.

After a decent weekend featuring sunshine and seasonable temperatures, nicer weather continues this week with high pressure in control. Low pressure tries to build in from the south and west, but will have little luck doing so, mainly providing cloud cover downstate as its greatest impact over the state. We’ll see high pressure keep its grip over the region through Wednesday, before changes arrive in the form of shower chances heading into the day Thursday.

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Good evening everyone and happy Wednesday. We’ve seen another day featuring a mixture of weather types. After starting with some fog this morning, cloud cover stuck around for some towns into the early afternoon hours. Other spots that saw sunshine earlier in the day were some of the first towns to see showers and thunderstorms develop this afternoon into this evening. Showers taper off tonight, with a drier day looking likely for the day tomorrow. The relative nicer weather isn’t expected to last, with additional shower chances building heading into the weekend.

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Good evening everyone and happy Thursday. We’ve seen another dreary day across the region today, with rain showers and downpours working their way through the region. We’re still seeing showers and downpours this evening, with activity not expected to taper off and lighten up until later tonight. It won’t end completely heading into tomorrow, with additional lighter scattered shower chances expected. Showers continue into the start of the weekend, with the hopes of seeing some breaks in the clouds late in the day Saturday, possibly lasting into Sunday morning.

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Good evening everyone and happy Monday. We’ve seen a gloomy day for most of the day today with showers and downpours working through the region during the morning hours. Low pressure responsible for the activity continues to exit the state off to the east, leaving us with nicer weather ahead for the next couple of days. Tomorrow looks wonderful with plenty of sunshine, low humidity, and seasonable temperatures. Highs warm up even more heading into Wednesday, with instability in the atmosphere beginning to build for the afternoon hours. Right now I think showers hold off Wednesday, with the chance at seeing afternoon or evening showers more likely for Thursday. Wet weather then continues through the end of the work week.
