New Mountain Biking Trails Open in Winona, Enhancing Local Cycling Options and Conservation Efforts
Winona, a Minnesota city, is expanding its cycling options with new mountain biking trails. These trails, different from typical routes in central and northern Minnesota parks, are a result of a partnership between the city, the Department of Natural Resources, Rock Solid Trail Contracting, the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), and the Winona Area Mountain Bikers club (WAMB). This fall, four trails spanning 5.5 miles were opened, with two being officially inaugurated in late November.
