Thanks for healing prayers
I want to give a big thank you to Dr. Neil Tator in the Urgent Care unit at Gundersen Clinic in Winona. You were extremely kind and helpful to me on my August 31 emergency visit there. You gave me great care in the diagnosis of my severe digestive tract issues. You even stayed with me at that clinic well past your regular shift to assure that I would receive the necessary medical tests to save my life. After all the necessary tests were completed, I was transferred to the Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse for emergency surgery that very day. I then had two surgeries in the next 48 hours, followed by another three days of postoperative care to stabilize myself from my very serious and weakened condition. Many thanks to you, Dr. Tator, as well as to the quality surgical team at Gundersen Health.

School Board, community should consider all options
When it comes to school referenda, that is money and taxes, some people almost always support them, and some almost always oppose them. As someone who spent his career as a teacher, I have always supported them. But I voted against the April 2023 referendum, because the School Board had made clear that it didn't trust citizens to make fundamental decisions about taxpayer debt.
