Officers were called to the Bigley Piggly Wiggly on Thursday, Sept. 14, for a breaking and entering call, according to a post from the Charleston Police Department.
WVSU picks up homecoming win
INSTITUTE, W.Va. (WCHS) — WVSU football improved to 3-1, and 3-0 in the Mountain East Conference with a 31-21 homecoming victory over Glenville State. Three second touchdowns gave WVSU a 24-0 lead, a lead the Yellow Jackets would not relinquish. Quarterback Donovan Riddick gave WVSU a 10-0 lead when he hit Joe Jones in stride for a 93-yard touchdown. Later in the quarter Riddick aired out a pass that was hauled in with one hand by freshman Amare Ary and placed the ball at the one-yard line. Running Back Joel Felder would punch it for a touchdown. The junior running back ran for two TD's, and 120 yards, extending his streak to seven straight games with a hundred yards rushing. Riddick was also effective with his legs, and he scampered for a 37-yard touchdown to extend the lead to 24-0.
