    Happy Thursday, Delaware!

Hope the sun rose on a day filled with endless possibilities, and you get to have your pick.

It’s Throwback Thursday, so here is a flashback to a diner with a plane stuck in its roof. You might remember it if you have lived in the First State for a long time. It’s part of Patricia Talorico’s on-going Do You Remember Series, which is lots of fun.

Have you gotten your Real ID yet? Here’s the latest on deadlines in Delaware and when it will be required to fly.

Part of my job is doing some social media, and that includes promoting some galleries from the dozens of proms we have photographed in the last month or so. Are you following along? We are planning to attend eight more proms this weekend, with more on the horizon. Enjoy!

    And now, more news …

Wilmington officials remember longtime Delaware politician following his death Monday

A former state Republican lawmaker and Wilmington city council person passed away on Monday.

Wilmington officials give their condolences to the family of Joseph DiPinto, who served on City Council for 12 years and later worked as the city's director of economic development, Amanda Fries reports.

Following his time on City Council, DiPinto served 20 years in the state House of Representatives before joining the city again as the economic development director.

    Read Amanda’s story here.
