On to more serious matters. Very serious is the fact that the carnival outside the Concord Mall had to shut down much earlier than anticipated due to a fight that erupted into gun violence. On Saturday night, at least one person fired a gun, killing a 16-year-old boy and injuring a 17-year-old. Learn more here. Stay with us for details.

    And now, more news …

Delaware woman wanted in Wilmington shooting dead following standoff in Chester, Pa.

A 23-year-old woman wanted in connection with a December shooting in Wilmington is dead following a police chase that started in Delaware Tuesday morning and ended in a standoff in Chester, Pennsylvania, officials said.

The woman has not been identified, but Wilmington police said she was wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred in the 500 block of W. Eighth St. That Dec. 2 shooting wounded a 34-year-old man, reports Esteban Parra.

Another 34-year-old man was charged in connection with that shooting, police said in a Dec. 3 statement. That man was arraigned last week and his trial is pending.
