    State parolee caught with drugs, gun

    Williamsport, Pa. — Cocaine and methamphetamine were discovered by police serving a search warrant at a Williamsport home.

    Jaziah Quatese Strickland, 33, of Williamsport lived at the home near the 900 block of Park Avenue, according to a complaint. A woman who was not charged allegedly shared the home with Strickland.

    In addition to the cocaine and methamphetamine, Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit detectives allgedly found packaging material, marijuana, and a Ruger .44 magnum.

    The gun was found inside a bedroom at the home along with personal effects for Strickland, according to investigators. It was allegedly found in an open purse at the foot of a bed in plain view.

    Strickland, who was on state parole for an aggravated assault charge, is being charged with possession of a firearm prohibited and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He is being held at the Lycoming County Prison on $95,000 monetary bail.
