Police looking for possible missing person along Rogue River Trail
JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. – The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a person who may have gone missing while hiking along the Rogue River Trail. According to the sheriff’s office, on Friday deputies received a citizen report of a backpack and dog leash found on the trail with no sign of a person or dog in the area.
Delays on Interstate 5 near Rogue River
JACKSON & JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. -- ODOT is reporting delays on I-5 South between Grants Pass and Rogue River caused by a heavy traffic jam. Right now, delays in the one-and-a-quarter mile area are up to four minutes. The latest conditions can be found on ODOT's TripCheck website.
Boatnik Races to close sections of Rogue River intermittently
GRANTS PASS, Ore. – Sections of the Rogue River will be closed to the public during specified times during the Boatnik Races. Races run at various times and locations from May 24 through May 27. The Supreme Court is set to rule on litigation involving a regulation that, in effect, makes being homeless illegal. Specifically, the case of Johnson v. Grants Pass involves a law that makes “camping,” i.e. sheltering, in public spaces around the town of Grants Pass, Oregon, a criminal offense.
