WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Kansas Humane Society’s Director of Communications Jordan Bani-Younes brought in Chonk, a dog, to KSN’s Pet Project on Thursday afternoon.

He weighs 65 pounds and is 1 year old.

Bani-Younes says Chonk is really “chill.”

“He likes to just chill out with you, sit wherever you’re sitting and then just get pets,” said Bani-Younes.

Chonk would make a good travel buddy.

“He does really well in a car,” said Bani-Younes. “He likes to move around just a little bit.”

He would make a good family dog.

“He does really well with children; he’s lived with children. He’s also lived with dogs before; he does well with them,” said Bani-Younes. “The only thing he doesn’t do well with is cats. He likes to chase them, which is pretty normal for that breed.”

Chonk is an Alaskan malamute and labrador mix.
