WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — A Wichita Falls woman with past arrests for assault, intoxication assault, evading, and burglary is now charged with injury to an elderly person in connection to an incident in January involving a car.

Tisha Malacusky, 41, is jailed on $25,000 bond on the new charge and $50,000 on a pending burglary charge.

On January 27, police went to the 300 block of Fillmore to investigate a reported assault. A 67-year-old man there told police Malacusky had been arguing with him about property and trying to hit him with her fists. He said he was standing between the door and the car she was in when she put the vehicle in reverse and knocked him to the ground, injuring his back and causing his elbow to bleed.

Police said Malacusky had left the scene. Two witnesses corroborated the victim’s account. Malacusky has several past drug-related convictions and has pending cases for evading arrests and burglary of a building last November.

In 2012, she was put on trial and sentenced to eight years in prison for intoxication assault in which a Wichita Falls woman was critically injured in a pin-in crash on Seymour Highway. The victim underwent numerous surgeries and months of rehab.
