THURMOND, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Railfans and tourists in New River Gorge National Park got a special treat on Wednesday as a special train rolled through the Mountain State.

The CSX Transportation Office Car Special (OCS), also known as the CSX Presidential/Executives Train, rolled through West Virginia from White Sulphur Springs to Kenova on Wednesday.

The luxury executive passenger train was on its way from CSX headquarters in Jacksonville, FL, to stops in Huntington in WV, Russell in KY, and Cincinnati in OH.

Passengers aboard the train were executives of the railroad.

The train is used to transport executives to meet with stakeholders or to visit different parts of CSX operations.

CSX owns and operates the former Chesapeake & Ohio (C&O) and Baltimore & Ohio (B&O) lines in West Virginia.

The train is painted in the scheme of the B&O Railroad. The train is led by three former Amtrak F40 units.

This train is a rarity in the area as it travels to southern West Virginia only once a year when it travels to The Greenbrier to meet with coal executives.
