Blacks in volleyball: ‘We are starting to see a lot more young Black girls’
I have covered college volleyball for over 40 years, and seeing no more than a couple of Blacks playing is still commonplace, whether it’s spring ball or the regular season in the fall. According to the latest NCAA demographics, there are 2,041 Blacks females playing D1, D2, D3 volleyball, down five from 2022, compared to 12,648 white female players.
Summer Games Done Quick 2024 Games List Announced
Games Done Quick, the grassroots speedrunning organization that’s raised $49.1 million in support of charity since its inception in 2010, has officially released its roster of accepted runs for its summer marathon, the aptly named Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) 2024. Synchronized swimming: Stillwater improves to 5-0
The Stillwater synchronized swimming team wrapped up at least a share of yet another East Metro Conference championship with a 36-9 routines meet victory over Osseo/Maple Grove/Park Center on Tuesday, April 23 at Stillwawter Middle School.
