Traffic stop near Cottage Grove leads to Eugene man’s arrest, 40 pounds of meth seized
EUGENE, Ore. – A traffic stop on Interstate 5 near Cottage Grove on Thursday led to the arrest of a 69-year-old Eugene man after a search of his vehicle and later his home resulted in a massive seizure of drugs, cash, a gun, and paraphernalia, according to the Eugene Police Department.
Sheriff: Eugene man arrested for robbery, assault of victim during purchase of item
EUGENE, Ore. — On April 27, Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported robbery in the 4100 block of Franklin Boulevard in Eugene. The victim met an unknown male at a public location to purchase an item being sold online, then again later in the evening to purchase another item.
Couples tie the knot to celebrate marriage equality in Oregon
EUGENE, Ore. — Friday at Harris Hall in Eugene, couples of all kinds tied the knot for free in celebration of marriage equality. On May 19, 2014, U.S. District Court Judge Michael J. McShane ruled that the state of Oregon's 2004 ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional. To mark the ruling's 10-year anniversary, the Lane County Circuit Court and the Lane County Clerk's Office offered free weddings to ten couples and vow renewals for three couples.
