Meadows of Dan Alumni announce covered dish dinner
A Meadows Of Dan High School Alumni meeting and covered dish dinner is scheduled for Saturday, May 25 in the Meadows Of Dan Elementary School Cafeteria. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and a covered dish dinner follows at 6 p.m. and the alumni meeting will follow. Alumni and anyone that attended Meadows Of Dan High School are welcomed to attend! Tharrington Primary hosts blood drive
Tharrington Primary School recently had what officials there are calling “a successful blood drive thanks to our parents, staff, and community donors.” They said the school was able to hit its goal of collecting 22 units of blood. “Thank you to everyone who came out. You are lifesavers.”
Distracted driving nets Early College student a scholarship
In recognition of April as Distracted Driving Month, Alliance Insurance Services and Magnolia Eye Care held a competition in which students submitted videos about the dangers of distracted driving. Chairman's Cup up for grabs at Cross Creek
The Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce is preparing to hit the links with its annual Chairman’s Cup Golf Tournament. The Bingo Fundraiser for the community building is this Saturday at 7 p.m.; doors open at 6 p.m. The Coverall Prize is a Michael Kors Large Tote Bag valued at $498. Each person who brings in items for the Backpack Program will get their name in a pot to win a special prize. For every item brought in, (10 maximum) you will receive a free door prize ticket.
