Paintsville holds Spring Festival
On May 3 and May 4, the City of Paintsville and Paintsville Beautification Committee’s Spring Festival took to the streets of Paintsville, offering many free attractions thanks to local sponsors, including a petting zoo, inflatables, food vendors and other booths, including crafters, a climbable rock wall and train rides provided by Paintsville Tourism and live music by the Les Masters Band. Festival organizer and beautification committee member Anita Watts called the festival successful, praising vendors for sticking it out through the intermittent rain at the event. “Downtown Paintsville Spring Festival was again successful. We have some tough vendors,” Watts said. “Short rain storm passed through and lasted approximately 15 minutes max. We learned to play and have fun in the rain. All was well and the event continued with sunshine and fun. We so love our vendors that stick with us to weather all storms, rain included.”
