Waterville, Pa. — A woman was thrown to the floor and strangled by a man inside her Waterville home, police said.

Brett Wayne Rogers, 42, of Waterville covered the victim’s face while pushing her into the floor of a home in the 10,000 block of North Route 44, Officer Brandy Perchinski said. Rogers put his left hand around her throat during the assault, Perchinski added.

The accuser punched Rogers and broke away from the attack on April 5, according to the complaint. She allegedly bit his hand during the altercation.

The next day, Rogers choked the victim a second time, Perchinski wrote in the report.

During an interview with police, the victim claimed to have found plastic baggies with white powder inside Rogers’ truck, according to Perchinski. Rogers allegedly blamed it on a local car dealership.

The victim told investigators Rogers has a shotgun at his home, police said. Rogers was charged with carrying a concealed weapon in 2011 and 2013.

Rogers is being charged with strangulation, simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct. He is being held on $50,000 monetary bail.
