David’s Evening Forecast - Spotty storms this evening and Monday
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Temperatures warmed nicely this afternoon toward 80 degrees after a beautiful morning. That warm-up helped to kick off a few spotty storms. These storms are kicking some brief but heavy downpours along with plenty of lightning and thunder. Given the hit and miss nature of the storms, it will not be raining all evening, and we may actually have several hours after 5pm without any rain in the metro. However, make sure you have a way to get indoors quickly if you hear thunder, because that means you are close enough to be hit by lightning. The scattered showers and a few storms will continue overnight into Monday morning with temperatures dropping into the 50s.
