Health alert issued for possible contamination in ground beef packed in Omaha
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Some packages of ground beef packed here in Omaha are being flagged for possible E. coli contamination. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert to ensure consumers with the affected packages are warned to not use them. A recall was not requested because the affected products are no longer available for purchase.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - As the war in Ukraine moves into its third year, human suffering continues. “We sent some surgeons over there in our first team one month after the war broke out, and then we’ve had three teams since,” said Ken Gruber, president of Omaha’s Rapid Response Team. “We’re building shelters for the war refugees and doing some medical clinics. We saw a lot of shrapnel wounds on this one...we saw arms and legs blown off, collapsed building injuries on some of the civilians. We try to address all of it. Lawsuits against Walmart asking for 'unlimited free lifetime shopping' dismissed
BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Lawsuits against Walmart filed by a Texas man claiming his civil rights had been violated have been dismissed. Roderick Jackson, the plaintiff, filed the two separate handwritten complaints without an attorney. They were filed into court on Jan. 8 after being mailed to the United States District Attorney's Office for the Western District of Arkansas (WDAR) located in Fayetteville.

Organizers for the annual Taste of Omaha say the three-day event will return to Heartland of America Park for its 27th year. The festival was one of the first to be held at Heartland and made its home there for 22 years.
